Be a volunteer! Curious about what makers have to share and how you can be part of the action at the Greater Hartford Mini Maker Faire? You don’t have to be a maker, and you don’t have to have a special talent. A volunteer Just needs a willingness to be part of the fun and to help make this family-friendly community event run smoothly and be a success! You do have to be 15 years old or older.
Not sure what you can do? That’s okay, there are a number of ways you can help, such as:
Load-in and Setup: Helping makers set up and break down.
Event Host: Being a “host” and help wherever needed, such as directing the public to events, keeping the grounds tidy, acting as a “floater” for the makers should they need anything.
Ticket Booth: Help collect tickets at the ticket booth, help register participants who don’t have tickets, registering for door prizes, answering basic questions.
Information Booth: Answer questions, help with lost and found.
Parking Lot Attendants: Coordinate traffic flow, direct visitors to parking lots.
Technology Expert: Help makers with technology needs, Wifi setup, etc.
Post Event Cleanup: Helping with cleanup at the end of the day’s event from 5 – 7 p.m.
Each volunteer will get a t-shirt!
